Careers
The Kenora Association for Community Living is a dynamic and innovative organization; with approximately 200 employees, we are continuously growing. KACL is a place where individuals who like to work with people can find purpose and meaning in their everyday work, where it is possible to make a positive difference in another person's life. It is more than a job, it is a calling. Our work provides employees with opportunities to contribute, to make connections with others, and to experience the feeling of satisfaction that comes from the knowledge that something worthwhile has been accomplished.
There are many different jobs and job functions at KACL, including Community Support Workers, Nursery Aides, Resource Teachers, Community Consultants, Administrative Assistants / Finance Clerks, Supervisors, Assistant Directors, Directors, and Executive Director. Non-management staff members are represented by OPSEU.
The best way to get started at KACL is to Apply for a Casual Community Support Worker position. The minimum requirements for this position are a high school diploma with a 2 year post-secondary diploma in a related field. Applicants who have a 4 year University degree may be considered for promotion in the event that Community Consultant or Supervisor positions became available. KACL has a practice of posting internally for all full-time positions and promotions.
Continuing the spirit and objectives of our work, KACL welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Applicants may request an accommodation for any part of the selection process and KACL will discuss applicants' needs with them to make any necessary modifications.
