Happening at the Arts Hub – 103-325 Second Street South, Kenora

Tea at the HubMondays, 10am-12pm – Visit and enjoy a beverage and conversation. No sign-up required, donations are appreciated.

Open Studio – Wednesdays, 10am-12pm – The doors are open! Come on in and chat about what’s up at the Arts Hub and in the local community arts scene. RSVP to 807-407-7449 if you’d like to work on any special or specific projects during your visit and we can prepare a space for you ahead of time.

Laughter Yoga – Wednesdays (Except September 13) 12pm-1pm – Laughter yoga is an exercise program developed by Indian physician Dr. Madan Kataria in Mumbai, who things laughter is the very best medicine! It combines laughter with yoga and breathing techniques, called Pranayama, which brings more oxygen into our body and brain making us feel more energetic and healthier. Nature Paint – Wednesdays in September, 3-4pm – Join us with your plants, flowers, bark, and vegetable peels to make pigment and paint!

Core Gift Cafe – Fridays (Except September 29) 11am-1pm – This event is open to all, whether you are already familiar with the Core Giftprocess or if you’re new and curious to learn more. A trained facilitator will be happy to chat at the Cafe to help you find out more about your own Core Gift discovery process and how to help others discover theirs. Dungeons and Dragons: – Tuesday, September 12, 5:30-8pm – Join us as we prepare to go on an awesome adventure with tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. Join us as we explore this fantasy world, forge friendships and hopefully save the day! This series will be played in a collection of one-shots, so if you cannot make it to all the games, don’t worry! Just jump in when you can. Please come to play with a level 1 character. Altered Tins  – Tuesdays, September 12-October 17, 5:30-6:30pm – Please join us as we explore mixed media techniques to create your own altered tin. Materials provided, just bring your imagination! $10 for the six -week session. For more information, please call 807-407-5660.

Happening in the Community

Sports Blitz – Tuesdays in September, 1-3pm @ Garrow Park – Come out and try pickle ball, badminton, disc golf, toss a frisbee, or kick a ball at Garrow Park. No experience is necessary. Just fun and a reason to get your body moving and enjoy some laughs!

Rise to the Rhythm – Thursdays, September 14, and 28, 4pm-5pm @ Anicinabe Park – Explore West African hand drumming with Tersoo at the shelter at Anicinabe Park. This non-traditional drum circle is open to all abilities and hand drums are provided.

Games Day – KACL WELL Event at the Kenora Rec Centre – Wednesday, September 13, 11am-2pm @ Kenora Recreation Centre – We will be at the Rec Centre participating in this KACL event. Please ask for more information if you are interested in attending.
