Tea at the Hub – Mondays (except January 1), 10:00am-12:00pm – Visit and enjoy a beverage and conversation. No sign-up required, donations are appreciated.
Open Studio – Wednesdays, 10:00am-12:00pm – The doors are open! Come on in and chat about what’s up at the Arts Hub and in the local community arts scene. RSVP to 807-407-7449 if you’d like to work on any special or specific projects during your visit and we can prepare a space for you ahead of time.
Laughter Yoga – Wednesdays (Except January 3) 12:00pm-1:00pm – Laughter yoga is an exercise program developed by Indian physician Dr. Madan Kataria in Mumbai, who things laughter is the very best medicine! It combines laughter with yoga and breathing techniques, called Pranayama, which brings more oxygen into our body and brain making us feel more energetic and healthier. Bring Your Unfinished Projects – Tuesday January 2 and 9, 1:00pm-2:30pm – Ring in the New Year by tying up loose ends. Join Lee Ann to finish up projects that haven’t yet been completed.
Core Gift Cafe – Fridays (Except January 5) 11:00am-1:00pm – This event is open to all, whether you are already familiar with the Core Gift process or if you’re new and curious to learn more. A trained facilitator will be happy to chat at the Cafe to help you find out more about your own Core Gift discovery process and how to help others discover theirs. Dungeons and Dragons: – Tuesday, January 16, 5:30pm-8:00pm – Join us as we prepare to go on an awesome adventure with tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. Join us as we explore this fantasy world, forge friendships and hopefully save the day! This series will be played in a collection of one-shots, so if you cannot make it to all the games, don’t worry! Just jump in when you can. Please come to play with a level 1 character. Paint Play – Tuesdays, January 16-February 27, 1:00pm-2:00pm – This month, we begin a 7-week session playing with paint. Newn techniques, unusual materials, and creative exploration will be encouraged during the workshops. In the end, we will delight in the process of creation with a painting that erupts from your intuition, working the materials to find your vision. If you are interested in exploring the process of intuitive painting, please call to sign up at 807-407-5660. The fee will be $25 for the series and registration is required.
Rise to the Rhythm – Thursday, January 18, 4:00pm-5:00pm – Explore West African hand drumming with Tersoo at the Arts Hub. This non-traditional drum circle is open to all abilities and hand drums are provided.
Videogame Night – Friday, January 26, 5:00pm-7:00pm – Join us for an evening of video games. $10 signup is required and space is limited. Pizza and refreshments are provided.
Queer Peers – Thursday, January 25, 4:00pm-5:00pm – Queer Peers is a 2SLGBTQ+ peer support group. We are hoping to provide a safe space in the community for folks to find resources, share stories and meet new people. We welcome everyone to attend and hope to see you there!

Sports Blitz – Tuesdays, Januray 16, 23, 30, 1:00pm-2:00pm @ 1301 Railway Street – Come out and try a variety of indoor sporting games in the back hall at Northwestern Ontario Metis Child and Family Services building at 1301 Railway St. No experience is necessary, just fun and a reason to get your body moving and enjoy some laughs.
