Dungeons and Dragons – Tuesday, June 4, 5:30-8pm – Join us as we prepare to go on an awesome adventure with tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. This series will be played in a collection of one-shots, so if you cannot make it to all the games, don’t worry! Just jump in when you can! Please come to play with a level 3 character. If you do not have one, there will be some premade characters to choose from. For more information, please call 807-407-5660.

Forest Lore Junk Journal – Tuesdays, May 7, 14, 21, 28, and June 4, 11, 18, 25 – 1pm – 2:30pm – June finds us in the middle of the 8-week session creating a junk journal. Creative exploration will be the focus of session based on Nik the Booksmith’s Forest Lore Junk Journal course. This workshop is already in progress. If you are interested in exploring junk journaling with the Arts Hub, please call 807-407-5660 and put your name on a list for a future journaling workshop.

Sketch-a-doodle – Wednesdays, 3:30pm-4:30pm – This month brings a fun doodle workshop as we explore building characters. Join Tersoo as he leads us in this workshop working on developing our own characters and ways of illustrating expression. There is no expectations during this workshop, all abilities are welcome. We are here to have fun and share as we learn together. There is no cost for this workshop, drop-ins are welcome.

Open Studio – Wednesdays, 10am-12pm – The doors are open! Come on in and chat about what’s up at the Arts Hub and in the local community arts scene. RSVP to 807-407-7449 if you’d like to work on any special or specific projects during your visit and we can prepare a space for you ahead of time, but casual drop ins are welcome.

Laughter Yoga – Wednesdays 12pm-1pm – Laughter yoga is an exercise program developed by Indian physician Dr. Madan Kataria in Mumbai, who things laughter is the very best medicine! It combines laughter with yoga and breathing techniques, called Pranayama, which brings more oxygen into our body and brain making us feel more energetic and healthier. Horns!Thursdays, June 6 & 20 – 1:30-3pm – Come out and learn to make a set of horns for your cosplay adventures or wear them to this year’s KACL Community Picnic where the theme is Dungeons and Dragons. Are you secretly a Tiefling, or have a desire to sprout horns? Come out and enjoy coffee, tea, and a whole lot of fun. Please let us know you are coming, as space is limited. there is no cost for this workshop.

Core Gift Cafe – Fridays, June 7, 14, 28 11am- 1pm (Note schedule change, no event June 21)– This event is open to all whether you are familiar with the Core Gift process or if you are curious to learn more. A trained facilitator will be happy to help you with your Core Gift Discovery process. You can learn more about walking your purposeful path by visiting the Core Gift Institute online. Coffee, tea and a buffet of art supplies are available to guests in a casual drop-in style cafe space.

Videogame Night – Friday, June 28, 5pm – 7pm – Join us for an evening of videogames. $10 sign up is required and space is limited. Pizza and coffee is provided.

Events Happening in the Community

Sports Blitz – Tuesdays, June 4, 11, 18, 25 1-3pm – Come out and try pickle ball, wiffle ball, badminton, catch or kick a ball in the back hall at Garrow Park (We will shift to the Rec Centre for a walk at the track in the event of rain). No experience necessary. Just fun and a reason to get your body moving and enjoy some laughs. Call 807-407-5660 for more information.

Rise to the Rhythm – Thursdays, June 13 & 27, 4pm-5pm – Explore West African hand drumming with Tersoo at the Anicinabe park. This non-traditional drum circle is open to all abilities and hand drums are provided.
