Gelli Plate Printing – Tuesdays April 9, 16, 23, 30, 1:00pm-2:30pm – Join us as we play with our new Gelli Plates, creating papers to use in collage, card making, mixed media, or journal creation. In this short 5-week workshop, we will learn how to care for the Gelli Plates, the use of the plate and different techniques for creating special effects. This workshop requires preregistration and is limited in numbers. Please phone to sign up or for more information. The fee forthe six-week workshop is $25.

Dungeons and Dragons: – Tuesday, April 16, 5:30pm-8:00pm – Join us as we prepare to go on an awesome adventure with tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. Join us as we explore this fantasy world, forge friendships and hopefully save the day! This series will be played in a collection of one-shots, so if you cannot make it to all the games, don’t worry! Just jump in when you can. Please come to play with a level 3 character. Open Studio – Wednesdays, 10:00am-12:00pm – The doors are open! Come on in and chat about what’s up at the Arts Hub and in the local community arts scene. Donations are appreciated. This is a casual come and go event.

Laughter Yoga – Wednesdays, 12:00pm-1:00pm – Laughter yoga is an exercise program developed by Indian physician Dr. Madan Kataria in Mumbai, who things laughter is the very best medicine! It combines laughter with yoga and breathing techniques, called Pranayama, which brings more oxygen into our body and brain making us feel more energetic and healthier. Rise to the Rhythm – Thursdays April 11 and 25, 4:00pm-5:00pm  – Explore West African hand drumming with Tersoo at the Arts Hub. This non-traditional drum circle is open to all abilities and hand drums are provided. Note: April 11th will be hosted by our own Laura Cotton.

Core Gift Cafe – Fridays (Except April 5) 11:00am-1:00pm – This event is open to all, whether you are already familiar with the Core Gift process or if you’re new and curious to learn more. A trained facilitator will be happy to chat at the Cafe to help you find out more about your own Core Gift discovery process and how to help others discover theirs. The Karaoke Collective – Fridays, April 12, 19, 26, 3:00pm-4:00pm  – Would you like to share your love for music with others? Would you like to share your favourite songs or listen to new music? We’ll be gathering several times over the month to share our favourits songs with one another. Singers and music lovers are welcome! Drop-ins also welcome.

Videogame Night – Friday, April 26, 5:00pm-7:00pm  – Join us for an evening of video games. $10 signup is required and space is limited. Pizza and refreshments are provided.

Happening in the Community

Sports Blitz – Tuesdays, 1:00pm-2:00pm @ 1301 Railway Street – Come out and try a variety of indoor sporting games in the back hall at Northwestern Ontario Metis Child and Family Services building at 1301 Railway St. No experience is necessary, just fun and a reason to get your body moving and enjoy some laughs.

Jam Night at BOB’s BURGERSTuesday, April 23 & May 28, 6:30pm-9:00pm – Jam Night is back with a new band from Thomas Aquinas Music Department that is ready to back you up!
