Tea at the HubMondays (except July 1 and 29), 10:00am-12:00pm – Visit and enjoy a beverage and conversation. No sign-up required, donations are appreciated.

Forest Lore Junk Journal – Tuesdays in July, 1:00pm-2:30pm – This workshop began in May/June and was such a success that participants will continue working on their creations. Creative exploration will be the focus of the session based on Nik the Booksmith’s Forest Lore Junk Journal course. This workshop is already in progress and full. If you are interested in exploring junk journaling with the Arts Hub, please call 807-407-5660 and put your name on the list for a future journaling workshop.

Dungeons and Dragons: – Tuesday, July 9, 5:30pm-8:00pm – Join us as we prepare to go on an awesome adventure with tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. Join us as we explore this fantasy world, forge friendships and hopefully save the day! This series will be played in a collection of one-shots, so if you cannot make it to all the games, don’t worry! Just jump in when you can. Please come to play with a level 4 character. Open Studio – Wednesdays (Except July 3), 10:00am-12:00pm – The doors are open! Come on in and chat about what’s up at the Arts Hub and in the local community arts scene. Donations are appreciated. This is a casual come and go event.

Laughter Yoga – Wednesday, July 31 12:00pm-1:00pm – Laughter yoga is an exercise program developed by Indian physician Dr. Madan Kataria in Mumbai, who things laughter is the very best medicine! It combines laughter with yoga and breathing techniques, called Pranayama, which brings more oxygen into our body and brain making us feel more energetic and healthier. Make-A-Lure – Wednesdays, July 10, 17, 24, 2:00pm-3:30pm – Come to the Arts Hub and paint crank baits, plugs and make spinners. $20/person. Limited spaces, please register by calling or emailing arts.hub@kacl.ca or calling 807-407-5660.

Videogame Night – Friday, July 26, 5:00pm-7:00pm  – Join us for an evening of video games. $10 signup is required and space is limited. Pizza and refreshments are provided.

Happening in the Community

Sports Blitz – Tuesdays, July 9, 16, and 23 1:00pm-3:00pm @ 1301 Railway Street – Come out and try pickle ball, wiffle ball, badminton, catch, or kick ball at Garrow Park, cancelled if raining. No experience necessary. Just fun and a reason to get your body moving and enjoy some laughs.
