Tea at the HubMondays (Except Feb 19), 10am-12pm – Visit and enjoy a beverage and conversation. No sign-up required, donations are appreciated.

Seed Exchange – Monday February 26, 4pm-6pm – Welcome the coming growing season by getting a head start on your seeding. Come to the Arts Hub and bring excess seeds to exchange with others. We have been given vegetable seeds to share with everyone, so if you don’t have any seeds to share, stop in and get your veggies for the coming year! Donations for the event are also welcome. Stop in ahead of the event to leave donated seeds.

Paint Play – Abstract – Tuesdays January 16, 23, and 29, Feb 6, 13, 20, 27, 1pm-2:30pm – This month we continue the 7-week session playing with paint! New techniques, unfamiliar materials, and creative exploration is encouraged during this workshop. In the end, participants will have a good knowledge of the principles of design, the elements of art, colour theory, and expressive mark making. This is an ongoing workshop and registration is required. – this session is currently full, but let us know if you’d like to see more in the future!

Dungeons and Dragons – Tuesday, February 20, 5:30pm-8pm – Join us as we prepare to go on an adventure with tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. We will explore this fantasy world, forge friendships, and hopefully save the day! This series will be played in a collection of one-shots, so if you cannot make it to all the games, don’t worry! Just jump in when you can! Please come to play with a level 2 character, if you do not have one there will be some premade at the event for you. For more information, please call 807-407-5660.

Open Studio – Wednesdays, 10am-12pm – Come on in, the doors are open! You’re in good company as guests gather at the Arts Hub to chat about the local arts scene and access a variety of art supplies. Feel free to enjoy a cup of something delicious and sun yourself in the artful atmosphere. For particular projects, special considerations or questions pleae RSVP to Laura at 807-407-5660 or just drop on by! No signup is required, donations are appreciated.

Laughter Yoga – Wednesdays, 12pm-1pm – Laughter yoga is an exercise program developed by Indian physician Dr. Madan Kataria in Mumbai, who things laughter is the very best medicine! It combines laughter with yoga and breathing techniques, called Pranayama, which brings more oxygen into our body and brain making us feel more energetic and healthier. Sketch-a-doodle – “The Scene” – Wednesdays, February 7, 14, 21, 28, 3:30pm-4:30pm – Join Tersoo as he guides us through another session of playful sketching and figure drawing. This session, along with brushing up on our figure drawing, we will work to create a scene using EVERY SQUARE INCH of the paper. This session is a fun, skill building workshop. Donations are gratefully accepted. No registration required.

Wonka Squirrel Factory! – Thursdays February 1, 8, 15, 22, 2pm-3pm – Join us in making squirrel hand puppets for the upcoming Beaver Brae Drama production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! No cost, materials provided.

Rise to the Rhythm – Thursday February 1, 15, 29, 4pm-5pm – Explore West African hand drumming with Tersoo at the Arts Hub! This is a non-traditional drum circle that is open to all abiliities and drums are provided.

Core Gift Cafe – Fridays, 11am-1pm – This event is open to all whether you are already familiar with the Core Gift process or if you’re new and curious to learn more. A trained facilitator will be happy to chat at the cafe to help you find out more about your own Core Gift discovery process and to talk about how to help others discover theirs. Visit the Core Gift Institute to learn more about walking your purposeful path. RSVPs are appreciated, but drop-ins are also welcome!

Videogame Night – Friday February 23, 5pm-7pm – Join us for an evening of video games. $10 per person, please sign up! Pizza and coffee is provided.

Sports Blitz Tuesdays, Feb 6, 13, 20, 27 1:00-3:00pm at 1301 Railway Street– Come out and try pickle ball, wiffle ball, badminton or kick a ball in the back hall at Northwestern Ontarion Metis Child and Family Services building 1301 Railway St. No experience is necessary, just fun and a reason to get your body moving and enjoy some laughs.

Jam Night @ Bob’s Burgers – Tuesday Jan 30, Feb 27, Mar 26, April 23 and May 28, 6:30pm-9pm – Jam Night is back with a new band from Thomas Aquinas Music Department that is ready to back you up!
