Foreword
It not the intention to divert persons from lawyers, financial planners or other professional groups who are the experts in their respective fields but rather to prepare you to meet with them. This intended use of this manual is to provide a manual of useful material for assisting consumers, survivors, lifesharers and families on estate, financial and life planning issues. The bulk of the material will be articles that you can pick up off the Internet, from various providers of service in the community or from the Central office. Dickson et al refer to the Wills book which may be purchased at the central office for $40.00 or borrowed from KACL Library. Etmanski (1996) refers to Safe and Secure which can be purchased from Plan 104-3790 Canada Way, Burnaby B.C. V5G 1G4 Phone 604-439-9566 or borrowed from KACL Library. Other resource material which may also be borrowed from our library is listed at the end of this index.
KACL is attempting to increase families knowledge of estate planning to increase the likelihood that less persons with special need will continue to live in poverty. Each newsletter it is hoped that one contribution to this knowledge base which will be permanently stored at the Association's website at Estate Planning.
