The Human Rights Commission of Ontario is conducting a consultation into Human Rights Issues in Ontario’s Education System which may lead to important recommendations about how the rights of students with disabilities living in Ontario can be assured.  The Commission is accepting written submissions by October 7 and will be conducting public consultations in November.  Community Living Ontario is in the process of preparing its written submission. You may wish to make your own submission. Details about the consultation are available at http://www.ohrc.on.ca/english/consultations/education-disability-consultation-paper.shtml

This paper identifies key issues and provides some questions to aid in your response.

Please pay attention as well to the note on the form stating that only those who have submitted a written submission by October 7 will be invited to present.
